4/10
muses. trying to illustrate my own woman from my head.
5/10
toiling process to final garment.
6/10
more research. looking at japanese garments alongside more of my own illustrations that i did as a way to describe where i was at during such a confusing time.

more painting and illustrating with some painted gathers.
8/10
2 of my garments that i hand painted. i would go on to paint them more.

BA (Hons) Fashion 2021

I am a womenswear and print fashion designer whose work is influenced by fine art movememts and genres such as abstract expressionism as well as oversized silhouettes and the comfort that I have found in wearing clothes that almost drown the body. My work is also very much inspired by my love of painting and portraiture and painting which I incorporated into my final year outcomes as I painted directly onto all of my garments. I have also been inspired by the weird and dark space that the pandemic pushed myself and so many others into this year and trying to navigate such a blurry situation without losing your head.
