As a designer it is extremely important for me to design in favour of the environment and without people suffering the consequences. Making sure clothes are designed with longevity in mind, as well as using materials which are the least harmful to the world we live in, this is always the priority. My aim is to design at a luxury market level, using vegan and eco friendly materials without limiting the look or feel of the garments. With the industry being such a big pollutant, I believe things need to start changing fast. Instead of producing lots of new eco focused brands, the best way to make a difference is to change the way that already existing brands work.

The collection 'the mourning of the matador' comes from growing up in spain and watching the view on bullfighting change over the years. Researching into the idea of culture and questioning whether it was time to leave some parts in the past and celebrate other aspects of the country. It is still a political disagreement within the country and divides views so I wanted to raise aware to the issue and start a conversation with this collection, no matter peoples views. I did not want to design a typical matador collection, I wanted it to still look timeless and for the concept to be in the details. I also decided to make the collection season-less, creating a capsule range which could be worn all year round.
