Rachel Helen Jurance
BA (Hons) Fashion Promotion 2020
I have recently completed my studies at The Manchester Fashion Institute and will soon be graduating with a BA (Hons) degree in Fashion Promotion. Over the last four years in my studies, and breadth of experience I have developed my creativity, writing and promotional skills. These physical skills complement my resilience, willingness and passion to learn and have preapred me for graduate employment.
Motivated by the world around me, I have been discovering and reading more about our planet and sustainable ways of living. This interest, alongside my love for fashion and beauty, has encouraged me to adapt my approach to living and working and I now feel confident and look forward to an exciting career in the fashion industry in the PR or events sectors.
Please browse my photos of my work, website, social media and Linked In to discover more about what drives me, why I love fashion, arts & culture and for my extended portfolio.
My photos reflect a selection of the portfolios created for assignments during level 6.
The first photos reflect my response and solutions to the future of the fashion industry, specifically promotion. An app was also created to encourage and promote sustainable fashion.
The portfolio also reflects a hypothetical collaboration between Harris Tweed and Games of thrones and shows the development of a new collection and launch event.
Portfolio 2 relfects the largest assignment of level 6 and is a repsonse to a brief to promote the collaboration between Fred Perry and Record Store Day. My solution involved a large scale event, originally designed a physical event but adapted to become a series of online events. A video is then used to promote these events.
I have throughly enjoyed university, and am proud of my work but I would tell level 4 me to embrace every opportunity given!
