BA (Hons) Fashion Design Technology (Menswear) 2020

I am a menswear designer who completed a placement year at ASOS in London. I have incorporated dead-stock fabrics into my work. The future of fashion should be to utilise unwanted, surplus materials, instead of always reaching to new, virgin fabrics.

This collection has developed from the conventional standards of office fashion often being perceived as a suit. It aims to challenge this for the new generation of businessmen. It has developed through referencing ‘traditional’ menswear standards but makes a stand for a new world.  What you wear does not dictate whether you are seen as smart or clever. The collection gained inspiration from 80s/90s offices where vibrant colours were prominent. Colour and print have been used to contradict traditional standards of office wear.
