Fashion Design and Technology student wins Whistles Design Competition

04 June 2017

Second year Fashion Design and Technology student Jack Stokoe has won a design competition with contemporary British brand Whistles.

Celebrating British design, Whistles Men asked the students of Manchester Fashion Institute to rework an iconic British menswear garment (or garments), to create a micro collection of six looks.

Competition winner Jack Stokoe took inspiration from his grandfather and furthered his research into military uniform and workwear. He looked at the influence of urban environmental factors on our everyday lives, uniting contemporary life with his grandfather’s past.

Jack’s winning designs are being exhibited at Whistles Men’s flagship store in Soho, London.
