My work is centred around exploring themes of identity, youth and relationships. When collaging I enjoy drawing inspiration from DIY punk methodology, my portfolio explores autobiographical themes as I attempt to makes sense of my own post-teen crisis. In terms of photography, I am interested in the trust that can be built between photographer and subject. I am always focused on capturing the identity of my model, allowing them to take the lead. As a stylist, I have an affinity for the history of fashion and I love to play with vintage/ second hand garments. I find that these garments bring so much character to a photoshoot and really bring a story/ theme alive. As well as this, I am also greatly interested in the positive impact the engagement with art can have on a person’s wellbeing. I have recently been exploring this through creating ‘Externalise’ which takes the form of a publication and an online art community. As an editor, I believe it is important to celebrate creatives from all backgrounds and levels, promoting the positive effects that engaging with art and creative writing can have on a person’s overall wellbeing.
