Aisling is a Lecturer in Luxury Fashion Management and Fashion Business at Manchester Metropolitan University. Her subject unit leadership roles have included MSc Luxury Fashion Management and she currently teaches and supervises projects at MS and BSc /BA degree levels within the Manchester Fashion Institute. 

Aisling’s additional roles within the department include Project Coordination for RISE, where she is responsible for overseeing and reporting on RISE projects within MFI. A programme which supports graduate outcomes and student community, harnessing one of the key strengths of the department, the collaborative approach to knowledge exchange by linking projects with industry and other external stakeholders, developing collaborative internships or work experience opportunities. 

Aisling built an international career in premium and luxury fashion, specialising in supplier architecture, global sourcing, production management and product development.  Aisling was responsible for the production matrix across couture, lingerie, swim, womenswear, and menswear. She has worked with luxury SME ready to wear brands to launch new categories, through to successful high turnover businesses such as Ted Baker and Liberty.  

 Aisling has extensive global experience in sourcing, including developing and engineering partnerships with key suppliers to ensure growth, innovate product and support scalability within new and heritage brands.   

 Aisling graduated from the Manchester Fashion Institute with a first-class degree in BA (hons) Clothing Design and Technology and is currently completing her Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education. Committed to the Research Knowledge & Exchange pathway her research focusses on luxury strategy and fashion management, investigating how brands continue to reinvent their internal and external structures to maintain relevance, cultural resonance, and market value within the contemporary environment.
