Research

Research Interests

Tahera's research expertise lies in the state-of-the-art Internet of Things (IoT), Industry 4.0/5.0 (I4.0/5.0) and digitalisation of manufacturing sector particularly the ubiquitous supply chain networks through smart sensors and systems. She has pioneered the socio-technical impacts of cutting-edge IoT technologies from performance perspective on a variety of use-cases such as smart factories, smart healthcare, circular economy, and I4.0. During her PhD., she developed solid multi-disciplinary research, combining methods from engineering, computer science, and business. She established rigorous theoretical frameworks to characterize firm performance, specifically in the manufacturing sector, when integrated with IoT, Blockchain, Big Data, Cyber-Physical Systems (CPSs), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and robotics.
