Robin joined the Art School in 2010 bringing with him his experience of working at a high level in the industry.

He was the founder of the iconic Nottingham brand G.FORCE having shops in Nottingham, London, Paris and Brussels. The range was exhibited in Paris, Dusseldorf and Tokyo having over 300 retail customers worldwide.

The brand was known for clothing with an industrial take, being the forerunner of what was to become known as street wear, often worn by bands like the Stereo MC’s, the performance artists Stomp, celebrities like Cher and Eric Cantona, costumes designed for the film Chacun cherche son chat (1996) and the opening of the Commonwealth Games in Manchester.

The G.FORCE range of products were made in the UK, including Goodyear welted footwear, one of the first brands to collaborate with Dr martens, knitwear, bulletproof jackets, denim and leather garments.

He worked as footwear, clothing and accessory designer for FREELANCE in Paris, working on the brands, NO NAME, FREELANCE and ETNIES.

Current Practice

Developing a retrospective collection to be sold in Japan along with a range of hand made leather bags.

Design consultant for FREELANCE Paris, working on branding and range development.

Delivering specialist leather workshops at the RCA and in China.
