I am a creative who has had the priviledge to work in the apparel design industry for over 25 years across design, product development and garment technology. My areas of specialism are sportwear and workwear with experience in both mens and womenswear. 

I am passionate about the fashion industry in particular jobs for design graduates, which feeds brilliantly to my additional role as placement co-ordinator for the fashion faculty.

I am passionate about nurturing the talent of the future to be responsible, professional members of the fashion design community. Digital design skills are essential to succeed in the ever changing fashion industry today - I see my role in the education of the key digital softwares for this as being an essential part of the fashion education we offer here at the fashion institute.

I love my subject area. I really enjoy working with young people, I love their energy, creativity, sense of fun and ability in lots of cases to over come adversity. They are an inspiring generation to work with.

I am a firm believer in experiental learning and will use this to try to develop your interest in the application of digital to fashion design into a lifelong passion which will enable you to be a highly employable creative.

I will take a collaborative approach to teaching- I will share my professional experiences and I love to hear your thoughts and ideas reciprocated. I will push you to challenge the norm, be creative and step out of your comfort zone creatively and practically.

I will do this in an inclusive, fun environment where you all have an equal voice to use.
