Student Opportunities
International
We aim to provide our students with as many international ventures as possible. Our courses offer unparalleled opportunities to experience the global fashion industry, including: International industry placements, International study trips, study abroad and exchanges and expenses paid international competitions.
Exchange opportunities
All of our undergraduate programmes offer an option to study abroad at one of our partner universities in countries including Australia, China, the USA and over 20 countries across Europe.
Depending on the course of study, this could be integrated into year two or as an additional year abroad in year three of a four-year degree programme.
There are a number of exchange opportunities open to students of any discipline.
Manchester Fashion Institute offers the chance to take part in an international sandwich year during 3rd year of study, which consists of spending half the year studying abroad, and half the year in a work placement either abroad or in the UK. In order to complete your sandwich year, you must successfully complete 4-6 months studying abroad and 18 weeks in one or more industry work placements.
