Ruari Mahon is the Global Head of Public Relations and Communications at Nudie Jeans, a Swedish contemporary denim brand. A communications and brand strategy professional with ten years’ industry experience, he has been in his current role since 2013. Studying International Fashion Marketing at MMU, Ruari graduated in 2009 with a First-class honours degree before relocating to New York in 2010 to join Want Agency who introduced cult Scandinavian brands Nudie Jeans, Acne Studios and Filippa K to the North American market. In 2017, Ruari launched a creative communications consultancy, Loughlin Joseph, specialising in the fashion, lifestyle and design sectors.
Inspired by Nudie Jeans’ ethical philosophy, Ruari is passionate about sustainability and education, and regularly speaks at distinguished universities and incubators such as FIT New York, FIDM Los Angeles, BF + DA Brooklyn and Lincoln University, New Zealand.
