“I had access to the most incredible resources as a student and the support from my design tutors has helped me to get to where I am today”
The Course Studying for my undergraduate Fashion degree was the most inspirational and challenging time of my life.
My final year at Manchester School of Art made such an impact on me, I achieved so much with the help of the University and it was the start of my career. It opened the doors to becoming an established designer, as I was able to exhibit my graduate collection at Graduate Fashion week and won a number of awards.
After Graduation After graduating, I was offered a three-week internship through my LinkedIn profile to work for the fashion retailer AllSaints. From here, I progressed to a full time position as Womenswear Leather Design Assistant. I now work solely on the leather garments for womenswear, researching, creating boards, choosing colours and helping to design the biker jackets.
I am lucky enough to have been able to travel to several of our factories in India. It is truly inspirational being able to see my designs go through all stages of production, from coming up with the initial ideas to seeing them being made on mass scale in the factories.
Student Support My time at Manchester Metropolitan University enabled me to gain skills that I could not have learnt anywhere else. I had access to the most incredible resources as a student and the support from my design tutors has helped me to get to where I am today.
I have kept in contact with my tutors since graduating from Manchester School of Art and feel as if I have made friends for life there.
