β€œOn this course you have the freedom to take your individual design ideas and concepts beyond the constrictive boundaries of a traditional university degree.”

About my course
As part of her final year work Dalia has created her own collection, which grew from design concepts that she finds inspiring. With this philosophy driving her work, when creating her final year collection Dalia took inspiration from the legends of the female Samurai warriors, onna-bugeisha.

Evolution of style
Dalia feels that she came to Manchester Metropolitan University with a sense of her own style, but this has evolved during her four years of study as the course provides you with the opportunity and the resources to explore a wide range of design and technological techniques.

My work placement
Placement year learning is a key part of the Fashion Design and Technology Course and Dalia spent a year working at Rapha Racing, who produce high quality cycling performance wear.

Ambitions for the future
I would love to be part of a fast-paced, creative design team! Having always loved theatrical pieces I would love to work in evening-wear. Also working at Rapha, being excited by sportswear and technology was truly inspiring me.
