Employability is at the heart of our teaching. We have been helping students to gain relevant industry placements as part of their courses for over two decades. As a graduate, providing a student placement is one of the most effective ways that you can get involved with the University, and is mutually beneficial: our students gain valuable industry experience and you have the opportunity to connect your place of work with the freshest talent in the fashion industry.

Our alumni are shaping the fashion industry on a global scale. Wherever you live or work after graduating, you can stay connected with Manchester Fashion Institute and become an International Alumni Ambassador.

As an ambassador, you can help to strengthen the University’s international networks in many ways: by organising alumni networking events; providing advice, testimonials and local knowledge to prospective students; meeting with students and staff on international course trips; offering international student placements, and much more.
