Fashion Design and Technology Sportswear Research Project

22 November 2017

Students studying on the Fashion Design and Technology Sportswear pathway have been conducting research into body performance focusing on an international gymnast.

Final year Fashion Design and Technology Sportswear students recently got the chance to attend a training session with Trinidad and Tobago international gymnast, Joe Fox.

Using a high-speed recording camera, they were able to capture the motion of the athlete’s body whilst performing key movements. The imagery captured will be analysed to inform design and material choices for high performance wear in direct response to athlete needs.
