Skims Activate and The Pleasure Portrait Series

Studying Fashion Promotion at Manchester Fashion Institute has enlightened a passion for creative branding, multi-conceptual marketing, and pioneering promotional strategies. I am eager to use the wide-ranging skills established throughout my degree to produce concepts and tangible assets for brands, facilitating sustained growth and industry innovation.

My penultimate project involved constructing a hypothetical branding strategy for Skims. I curated a multi-sensorial campaign proposal, integrating state-of-the-art technology and 'Phygital' marketing strategies. This responded to emerging consumer expectations for wellness-enhancing activities, multi-sensorial experiences, and meaningful brand interactions. The Skims Activate project encompassed producing a line of wearable technology with corresponding fitness-tracking mechanisms and event spaces. My outcomes included designing the app, curating virtual environments, and producing relevant promotional material for distribution across social media. The purpose of the strategy was to create long-term meaningful relationships with customers and propel the brand among competitors through transformational technology.

In my final year, I also produced a body of work focused on the brand Lounge Underwear, assembling a collection of images and marketing material focused on female pleasure. The concept aimed to illuminate the gender disparities inherent in public understanding and consumption of pleasure. The objective of my project was to highlight the very different, intimate, and personal nature of female sexuality. The final OOH outcomes placed what has been kept private and deemed as shameful for women, into the public sphere. I hoped to provoke conversations around the issue and encourage public discourse on female sexuality.

My skills in Adobe have helped me communicate ideas into professional outcomes, responding to social sentiments, established through vigorous research and insight into trends. I hope to expand my network and collaborate with others to propel my practice and establish a community of wide-ranging creatives. I look forward to exploring and expanding my creative capacity as an industry professional.
