Natures Pitana

Designing a considered collection NATURES PATINA, conveys the natural erosion that occurs on the surface of shells and metals displaying natures own architecture. While there is a reflection on the materiality itself, knowing where it came from and the longevity it holds after being passed to the consumer. Such as the use of leather, due to its durability, it can be moulded and patchworked as they’re worn and weathered. Further, a parallel of this weathering is drawn to our own bodies and the ways in which they morph and adapt to our surroundings over time – such as the natural, insulating protection that ‘unnecessary’ body hair provides.
