Fashion Enterprise Project: DNM
For my final project, I created my own business, DNM. This is a business-to-business brand, providing fashion retailers with specialised changing rooms fitted with Artificial Intelligence Smart Mirrors to allow shoppers to perform body scans to find their perfect fit of jeans.
Drawing on personal expericenes of jeans fit and sizing, a huge gap within the fashion industry was illuminated. There is no standardisation of sizing, and retailers often use tall, slim models to fit their designs and market their products. Despite this, action is still not being widely taken to cater to women of different shapes or sizes, limiting potential sales and creating poor word of mouth. Therefore, DNM plans to counteract these problems by using technology.
To create DNM, I have produced an in-depth business and marketing plan that highlights my personal development as an entrepreneur. I have created illustrations of our services and marketing activities, as well as a brand pack that communicates the business. In creating this, it has solidified my desire to move into a full-time role within marketing for a fashion brand. I have thoroughly enjoyed developing a seamless marketing plan that will aid the acquisition of clients and build hype around DNM. In addition, I have also been able to act on shoppers concerns and grievances within the fashion industry, understanding how important it is to address this in order to achieve customer satisfaction.
