MANCHESTER SCHOOL OF ART

We are one of the largest and oldest providers of art and design education in the UK. We celebrated our 175th anniversary in 2013 and, while embracing traditional techniques and crafts, we have invested £35 million in our spaces and facilities to create a School for the 21st Century.

Our students are award-wining, securing internships with international organisations, recognition at prestigious events like Graduate Fashion Week, and funding for their design ambitions. Our graduates include Sarah Burton OBE, David Longshaw and Nabil El Nayel, and graduates of this course have diverse careers in fashion with some working freelance or starting their own companies. Many go on to work as designers for companies such as River Island, Gieves and Hawkes, Roland Mouret, Dolce and Gabbana, Dorothy Perkins, Topshop, Donna Karan, Abercrombie and Fitch, Reebok and Rodier Paris.

As a student of Manchester School of Art, you will be part of a dynamic community of around 3,500 artists, designers and creative thinkers, affording exciting collaborative opportunities between disciplines, particularly with our innovative ‘Unit X’ module.
