For Jigsaw’s Autumn/Winter 2016 collection

A dress designed by Manchester Metropolitan University Fashion Design and Technology graduate Eppyar Hunt will be hitting stores next month.

As the winner of the British Fashion Council’s national Jigsaw Award, Eppyar was given the opportunity to create a piece of eveningwear for fashion brand Jigsaw’s Autumn/Winter 2016 collection.

Launched at London Fashion Week, the iconic double-layer silk dress will be available in-store and online and will feature in Jigsaw’s Kings Road store window.

The limited-edition dress was praised for the “exquisite balance of volume, detail and layering.”

The quality of Eppyar’s dress design as well as her technical understanding of the design and manufacturing process impressed the panel of high profile industry judges. The panel included Leith Clark, Editor in Chief at Violet Magazine and Style Director at Large at Harper’s Bazaar, Meribeth Parker, Co-President of the BFC Education Pillar, Nick Moore, Sales Director, Pongees, Shailina Parti, Buying and Merchandising Director, Jigsaw, and Will Steele, Managing Director, Pongees.

The Jigsaw competition was run in association with luxury silks specialist Pongees and Eppyar’s final design was made using a claret crepe fabric.
